    You just spoke the naked truth! What we see as successful and what people who claim to be successful are going round showing off is not really the definition of success. Though I have not made the mistakes you did, I have told myself that I’m not going to let things I see around be what would dictate how I will make my own success story.

    You are right you know. Things that don’t give value are what people are fawning over. And I quite agree that these things don’t add more value to you and only make you like a slave to it. My boss had this person he was looking up to and the very first day he finally set foot in his house and stayed for the weekend, he came back all humbled and said that he was never going to believe that success is what people are going around showing us.

    Hey! Sorry to say Americans are generating garbage in record amounts, I think just a waste of time.

    There’s plenty of successful people who buy houses/cars/boats, etc and contribute to the economy to provide work for people; and they hire an accountant and manager to take care of it all so that they can focus on what they need to do. So it’s not the “Stuff” it’s how you manage it and your mind. Money has to be circulated. Monks don’t need to even do the work and don’t need the money.
